Firstly can I say a huge thank you to everyone that helped out in the kitchen, clubhouse and bar at the weekend. I know that Debs and Jess really appreciated the help and it made the workload much lighter for everyone. Thanks again.

It was a brilliant performance on Sunday and All the boys played really, really well. They are definitely stepping up to the mark and improving with each game they play. They are a little slow starting some Sundays which is why we need them to arrive early for matches and training, so that we have time to get their Rugby Brains switched on and working!

We are nearing the end of season and one of the highlights is the NLD Cup/Shield competition this Sunday at Market Rasen RFC.The event and our first game starts at 9.15am sharp (The start time for our first game is 10.15am), with children needing to be there at 9.15-9.30am prompt, so that the boys can get settled in and have a good warm up before their first game at 10.15am.

All tournament details are attached, please take time to read them.

Journey time from West Bridgford to Market Rasen is Approx 1hr 14min to 1hr 30min, 53 miles

We should get to play at lest 4-5 games Initial group games finish at approx 1.35pm, with the final (if we get there!) at 2.05pm.It is a full day by the time we get home.

Market Rasen, details and directions are below and I have also attached a note from the NLDRFU regarding some road closures that are happening in Market Rasen on that Sunday.

We had a great day at the NLD at Ladybay earlier in the season, as well as a good couple of wins! it would be great if we could come away with the U9's shield this time round and looking at how well we played on Sunday, We believe that the boys can do it.

It will be quite a long day for the boys so please can you make sure that they come appropriately dressed for the conditions. I think that packed lunches and picnics will be the order of the day with plenty of energy food for the boys, to keep them going. Food will be available to purchase at the event, details are included in the attachments.Finally, if you are coming, do you have a gazebo that you could bring along?It is a long day and we may need shelter from rain/sun.Any help gratefully received. Please let me know.

If for any reason you are unable to make it on Sunday, can you please notify me ASAP as I need to be aware of the numbers. We need to have a full squad of 9 boys for the tournament.
