WBRFC U14 Firing out of the blocks, we played a very effective territorial game gaining early momentum and points. This became a recurring theme throughout the game and all credit to the boys that executed every time we entered the red-zone. With Louis, Harry and Tom picking up first half tries we were all set for a big second half testing our fitness and mental attitude.

With Derby hitting us hard at the start of the second half picking up an early try through dominant ball-carries, we were up against it. However, with all of the boys showing yet more mental and physical courage we stood up to the challenge. Resorting back to first half tactics of a territory-based game, we ran away with it. And in the process of this Louis notched up a brilliant hat-rick.

With hopefully more challenges like this coming up later in the season, I am sure of the fact that we can keep putting pressure on all opponents.

Well done to all the boys for another great performance on the back of a tough defeat.
