Colts welcomed Paviors rfc to Stamford Rd , along with Coalville rfc colts who’s game at Derby was postponed so to boost Pavs numbers they bar-barred the only thing was Coalville brought about 19 lads and along with Pavs they had around 25/26 lads , we were on the other hand could only scrape 18 lads together, what with injuries .lots of, Nott’m academy u19’s call ups , we’ll done jake , Morgz & Tom B and Easter half term holidays we were really up against it as the majority of the squad bar 7 were u17’s and an u16
But we never took a backward step all game and although Pav-ville raced into a 7-0 lead after good possession we soon put a score in the board to make it 5-7
More good work in midfield saw the ball spun out wide and we slotted down for 10-7
Pav-Ville hit back it make the half time score 10-12 to them but they had played all their cards in the first half as that was the stronger of the 2 teams they put out so our half time team talk was simple , more of the same please and all the lads worked really hard for each other and the try’s started flowing , Bridgy putting 3 try’s on our opponents to their 0 so a very satisfying shut out in the 2nd half
Colts ended the game on top and bossing the game all over the park
So a great end to the home fixtures for this season ending the game 27-12 victors
Well done boys great performance all through the team
Good luck to the Nott’m academy boys tomorrow vs Ealing rfc
